| Betnava (Windenau) |
|
The manor Betnava is one of the most beautiful Baroque creations in this part of Slovenia. It was first mentioned in 1319.
The building from the end of the 16th century was originally of Renaissance style but was rebuilt in the Baroque style in the first half of the 18th century. Its Renaissance origins are clearly visible even today but are covered with elements of the later Baroque renovation. The main hall, into which a large staircase leads, is painted by illusionist frescoes. The castle is surrounded by a park with Baroque forms of green hedges and lines of the trees. Location: Štajerska -> Maribor |
