You will find this beautiful castle from the 14th century in the middle of Slovenska Bistrica, a town between Celje and Maribor. In 1313 it is first mentioned in the records but for sure it was built a couple of years before. In 1384 it burned down and was soon restored, in 15th century the walls and a moat were built around it. Many owners changed until 1717 when counts Attems’ got it and owned it until the end of the second world war. Today it hosts a gallery and a museum.
