First mention of Lindek castle dates to 1264 as Lindecke, then in 1333 as castrum Lindek kand in 1441 as haus Lindegk. In the beginning it was managed by Lindek knights.

Lindek was attacked and ruined by Jan Vitovec in 1439 but then renewed and finally deserted in 18th century.
