Lemberg is one of the most picturesque castles in Slovenia. People say that the initial owners were very cruel and locked the peasants into the dungeons that are still visible today. The castle was probably built in 13th century by knights from Ranšperk. It had many important owners but newer history wasn't kind to it. The castle was nationalized and since then it deteriorates rapidly.
