A castle dates back to 11th century when it was probably built. It had many owners during the years but probably the most important was Johann Anton Nugent – Pallavicini – Centurioni that bought it in 1877 and completely modernized his new property. Counts Pallavicini also built the North tower. Today it houses a psychiatric ward and is currently (2008) under adaptation.
